General Manager & Director (Laboratory)

Responsibilities:

• Lead the setup and development of the new testing laboratory, including facility planning, equipment sourcing, and operational procedures.

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the laboratory and field teams for Foundation Testing

• Oversee the application and approval process for all necessary licenses and accreditations

• Develop and implement company policies, safety protocols, and QA/QC standards in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the overall development and growth of the company

• Plan and manage budgets, resources, and capital investments to ensure efficient and sustainable operation

• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with various stakeholder including Contractors, Consultants, and Government

• Ensure timely delivery of testing services with high standards of quality and accuracy.

• Research innovative testing technologies and continuously improve operational processes

   

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the geotechnical or foundation testing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management or laboratory leadership role.

• Proven experience in setting up and managing a testing laboratory

• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies such as Koden Test, Sonic Logging, and other pile testing techniques.

• Familiar with relevant regulations and licensing procedures in Hong Kong

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Proficient in both English and Chinese
