General Manager & Director (Laboratory)

Responsibilities:

Lead the setup and development of the new testing laboratory, including facility planning, equipment sourcing, and operational procedures.
Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the laboratory and field teams for Foundation Testing
Oversee the application and approval process for all necessary licenses and accreditations
Develop and implement company policies, safety protocols, and QA/QC standards in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the overall development and growth of the company
Plan and manage budgets, resources, and capital investments to ensure efficient and sustainable operation
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with various stakeholder including Contractors, Consultants, and Government
Ensure timely delivery of testing services with high standards of quality and accuracy.
Research innovative testing technologies and continuously improve operational processes

Requirements:

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the geotechnical or foundation testing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management or laboratory leadership role.
Proven experience in setting up and managing a testing laboratory
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies such as Koden Test, Sonic Logging, and other pile testing techniques.
Familiar with relevant regulations and licensing procedures in Hong Kong
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficient in both English and Chinese
