Role Summary:

The Assistant Manager supports the continued development and operation of Quest, an agent-facing, AI-powered platform that helps financial consultants prepare for customer conversations using approved product information, market context, news insights and sales content.

Reporting to the Product Owner, the role leads day-to-day business analysis and delivery across the Quest backlog. The incumbent turns agent and stakeholder needs into implementable requirements, defines expected AI behaviour, coordinates release readiness and uses product evidence to recommend improvements. This is an individual-contributor position with cross-functional exposure and opportunities to guide less experienced analysts.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day delivery and analysis across the prioritised Quest backlog, translating agent, distribution and business needs into requirements, user journeys, Jira stories, acceptance criteria and release scope.
  • Define expected behaviour and acceptance standards for AI-generated outputs, including factual grounding, source presentation, restricted topics, fallback responses, output consistency and human-review requirements.
  • Coordinate delivery across product, UI/UX, engineering, data, testing and business teams; surface dependencies, risks and decision points early to the Product Owner.
  • Plan business testing and release readiness, covering UAT scenarios, regression scope, defect prioritisation, testing evidence and evidence-based go/no-go recommendations.
  • Prepare product and risk documentation for Legal, Compliance, Security and AI-governance review, and track conditions or remediation actions through closure.
  • Monitor adoption, feature usage, output feedback and release performance; recommend backlog or operating-model changes using defined product metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, engineering or a related discipline.
  • 6+ years' experience in business analysis, digital product delivery or technology-enabled transformation, including at least two years coordinating end-to-end delivery within an Agile team.
  • Demonstrated experience converting complex business needs into structured requirements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria and UAT scenarios.
  • Experience working in insurance or another regulated financial-services environment, preferably involving agent, adviser, sales or distribution journeys.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and providing work guidance or quality review to junior analysts without relying on formal reporting authority.
  • Professional fluency in spoken Cantonese and written and spoken English; written Chinese capability is preferred.
  • Practical experience with AI or LLM-enabled products, including prompt requirements, retrieval-grounded responses, output evaluation, hallucination risk, guardrails and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Working proficiency in Jira and Confluence, with the ability to review Figma designs and maintain structured requirements and traceability.
  • Familiarity with API-enabled journeys, knowledge bases, document ingestion, test automation and enterprise release-management processes.
  • Effective use of approved generative-AI tools for research, synthesis, drafting and test-case development, with appropriate verification, confidentiality and data-handling judgement.
