Responsibilities:
Perform and review EDD assessments for high-risk customers, including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), complex ownership structures, and higher-risk industries.
Provide AML/CFT advisory support and guidance to business units and relevant stakeholders on customer onboarding, periodic reviews, and other financial crime compliance matters.
Perform reviews of name screening alerts involving PEPs, Relatives and Close Associates (RCAs), Negative News Screening (NNS), and sanctions matches, etc.
Assist in the development, implementation, and periodic review of AML/CFT policies, procedures, and control frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Monitor regulatory developments, emerging financial crime risks, and industry trends, and advise management on their potential impact to the Bank.
Deliver AML/CFT training and awareness programs to business and support functions.
Support the Team Head in managing AML advisory matters, AML projects, and other ad hoc assignments as required.
Support regulatory examinations, compliance reviews, and handle regulatory inquiries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on AML/CFT-related matters.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in AML/CFT compliance, financial crime compliance, customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), or AML advisory functions within a bank or financial institution.
Sound knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, sanctions requirements, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices
Relevant qualification in CAMS / AAMLP / CAMLP are preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Proficiency in written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with flexibility and adaptability to changes.
Knowledge of virtual assets, digital currencies, fintech-related AML risks, or emerging financial crime typologies would be a plus.
