Key Responsibilities
Support and implement the vision, strategy, direction and leadership in Markets Compliance, Financial Crime & Conduct Risk (CFCR) teams in Hong Kong, consistent with Global CFCR Head’s vision and strategy for the CFCR function and in support of the Bank’s strategic direction and growth aspirations.
Promote the Here for Good culture and Group Code of Conduct, complying with regulatory requirements and the Bank’s internal policy and standards (including conducting business with high ethical standards).
Deliver appropriate regulatory guidance and facilitate the establishment of an integrated programme to identify, manage, monitor, and report CFCR risk.
Build and maintain an effective and constructive relationship with all key business and functional stakeholders that is based on trust, capability and integrity, providing timely, responsive and quality regulatory compliance advice and guidance to enable the business and functions to meet/ achieve their objectives. Closely work with other CFCR teams to support business stakeholders.
Work closely with Markets business and provide timely CFCR advice to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and regulatory instructions. Provide CFCR advice, analysis (and challenge when appropriate) in relation to the full product life cycle including product design through to post sale reviews/ assessments, new business initiatives, bespoke projects, remedial activities (including nature, scale and rigour of past business reviews), transitional investigations.
Provide robust challenge to relevant stakeholders where activities are outside risk tolerance/ appetite, escalating as necessary, until appropriate oversight and ownership is achieved including actions and plans to address any remedial action needed to come back within risk tolerance/ appetite.

Role Requirements
Within at least 10-15 years in Financial Markets Compliance experience.
Languages: Cantonese and English
Be well-versed in the financial markets related regulations and regulatory expectations in Hong Kong.
Good judgment enabling the provision of sound advice in difficult areas of regulation and practice and the proactive management of compliance and regulatory risk.
Sound judgment on business practices, regulatory relationship management and reputational risk.
Personal integrity with proven ability to establish relationships and exert influence to stakeholders.
Be able to operate independently, and demonstrate robustness in ethics and resilience.
