Job Description
Responsible for new client onboarding, existing client periodic review/ trigger event, etc for Private Banking clients.
Review a wide range of account opening and client documentation submitted by frontline to ensure accuracy, completeness and in line with the Bank's compliance and KYC requirements and as well as the regulatory requirements;
Review clients' source of wealth (SOW) profiles, conducting background checks, and verifying supporting documents to ensure proper corroboration of SOW;
Process name screening and prepare PEP & Negative media assessment.
Develop and deliver regular training programs for staff to promote awareness of AML policies and compliance requirements.
Identify training needs and systemic weaknesses in procedures to enhance compliance efforts and mitigate financial crime risks.
Ad-hoc project as assigned
Requirements:
University degree holder preferably in law, finance, accounting disciplines
Professional AML/CFT qualifications (e.g. AAMLP, ACAMS, CGSS, etc.) is an advantage
At least 5 years of experience in account opening/ account reviews including KYC / SOW review within the Private Banking industry
Good knowledge of Private Banking products and services and regulatory environment
Fluent in Mandarin (both written and verbal) is required Initiative and able to work independently.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills with strong attention to detail
A collaborative team player, with positive, can-do attitude, proactive self-starter
