Principal responsibilities:

  • Lead the business development teams (Relationship Management, Investment Advisory, Trust Services, Wealth Advisory) to formulate and implement strategic business plans and policies to develop, build and grow the Hang Seng Private Banking to drive sustainable growth.
  • Identify and capture business growth opportunities and client acquisition, including plans and strategies to generate new business, as well as increasing revenue for existing ones to achieve asset growth, sales or revenue targets
  • Drive the development of new private banking products and services and communicate new products, propositions and relevant market information to customers.
  • Lead the business development teams in collaboration with products specialists to maximize cross-selling opportunities for the Bank
  • Maintain highest standard of excellence in client service with individual clients with regular monitoring of client satisfaction
  • Manage effective working relationship with frontline, middle office teams, internal stakeholders and external parties
  • Communicate a clear vision for Hang Seng Private Banking that is aligned to the overall Group and the Bank’s vision, values and goals, and inspires and engages people to create an inclusive, high performing, customer-centred culture.

Requirements

  • University graduate with a minimum of 15 years of banking and wealth management experience
  • Degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance or related disciplines
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking and growth mindset with seasoned banking and financial services experience preferably in Private Banking business.
  • Proven track record in driving change, including planning and decision making, prioritizing actions, managing multiple stakeholders to bring business plans to successful completion.
  • Proven track record in people management especially managing frontline sales. Strong leadership, facilitation and collaboration skills to orchestrate business plans and cases working across different business stakeholders and supporting teams at different levels.
  • Strong connections with clients in HK and Greater Bay area and proven role model in client relationship management
  • Strong conceptual and analytical capabilities to navigate internal and external contexts, and deal with ambiguities.   
  • Highly effective influencing and communication skills, ability to clearly document the current state and the recommendations.
  • Strong outcome focus with adaptability and accountability in delivery.  
  • Language proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mind-set to ensure efficient and effective customer service delivery.
