Team Head, Internal Audit (Treasury & Markets, Finance & Risk Function)

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team to manage and execute audit assignments covering Treasury & Markets, Finance and Risk Management functions, provide effective recommendations to responsible parties on audit observations and follow-up execution of remedial actions
• Plan, resource and establish processes for audit assignments to ascertain adequate audit coverage, to perform continuous monitoring of risk and provide internal control advices to management
• Manage sensitive special reviews and investigations, as well as serves as the key liaison for major regulatory and Group Audit ad-hoc projects
• Manage audit relationship with different stakeholders to keep abreast of changes in business and control environment and audit practices
• Deputize IA Head whenever necessary and participate in ad-hoc assignments as required by Audit Committee and Senior Management
• Contribute to establish and/or maintain Internal Audit Policies and Procedures which align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ascertain audits are effectively performed

Requirements:

• University graduate in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or related disciplines
• Holder of professional qualifications such as CPA, CIA, CFA or FRM
• Minimum 10 years of relevant audit experience in financial institutions, preferably gained in banking industry.  Proven in-depth expertise in treasury and finance audit (e.g. liquidity risk, market risk, funding, financial reporting)
• At least 3 years in supervisory and managerial positions and experience in leading sensitive investigations etc.
• Sound knowledge of banking regulatory requirements in particular Treasury & Markets, Finance, ALM activities and risk management
• A strong leader with good people management skills and critical thinking
• Self-initiative, able to work independently with good time management
• Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Good report writing skills in Chinese and English
• Occasion travelling to Mainland is required
