Assistant Manager to Manager (Database Administrator) - Information Technology Department

Responsibilities:

Work with team of system administration providing support, maintain system healthiness and perform regular compliance and baseline review to ensure standards are being adhered
Perform installation, design, configuration and hardening on database environments
Manage and administer all Database Management System (DBMS) and the corresponding or associated software and tools
Monitor the availability and performance for all database and middleware servers
Troubleshoot database/middleware related incidents and analyze database/middleware utilization
Handle system incidents and follow up for incident resolution
Provide technical solution on system software and security for business and infrastructure projects
Assist in IT infrastructure planning and policy/standard/baseline formulation
Roster on-call standby support is required in non-office hours

Requirements:

Degree holder in Information Technology or related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience in database administration, preferably gained from banking / finance industry
Hands-on experience in Oracle Database or MS SQL Server is required
Knowledge the following areas is an advantage:
- Java / PowerShell / Unix / Python Script / Oracle WebLogic / IBM WebSphere / MQ / MQ / ESB / Apache / JBoss / Tomcat / NGX / IIS / iPlanet / ServiceNow
- VMware, Windows Server, Redhat Linux Server
- Redhat Ansible Tower / Cloudform / KVM / Kubernetes
Understanding of applicable IT strategies relating to DBMS technology is an advantage
Holder of CISSP or CISA is an advantage
Solid interpersonal communication skills with good team spirit

(Candidate with more experience shall be considered as Senior Manager)
