Senior System Engineer (Infrastructure Team)

Responsibilities:

• Administer IBM Power Platform, AIX, VIOs and manage the production environment including system monitoring, version upgrades, security patching, LPAR/DLPAR configuration, and virtual disk/network resource tuning to guarantee business system availability.
• Manage Huawei Enterprise Storage & SAN, storage pool planning, LUN provisioning, multi-path configuration, capacity management, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting, all while strictly following the bank's change control procedures.
• Administer tape library backup systems and the NetBackup platform, perform basic administration for IBM DB2 and Oracle databases, monitor backup jobs, manage tape lifecycle, validate backup/restore processes, and troubleshoot hardware.
• Prepare operation manuals, change plans, and incident reports. Ensure all activities are audited and comply with internal control and regulatory requirements.
• Perform regular infrastructure health checks, capacity forecasting, and system performance tuning. Participate in disaster recovery exercises and execute production changes within approved windows.
• Stay updated on infrastructure technology trends, participate in architecture assessments and Proof of Concept (PoC) validations, enforce information security controls, and assist in testing, migration, and implementation of domestic/China-made basic software.
• Proven experience independently administering Huawei enterprise storage, with strong knowledge of SAN architecture, LUN, and storage multi-path management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ solid experience with strong business knowledge in banking industry
• IBM Power certification, Huawei storage certification, and/or Linux administration experience is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of AIX LVM, JFS2, and mksysb. Ability to write basic Shell scripts.
• Knowledge of banking IT internal control, change management, and information security.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Fluency in spoken Mandarin and written Chinese is required.
