Safety Officer

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementation of the Company safety policy, and ensuring the internal safety standards are met at all assigned sites
• Monitor the execution and effectiveness of safety policy to comply with legal & contractual requirements
• Identify safety risks and provide remedial recommendations
• Perform safety training, conduct site visit and prepare inspection report
• Prepare necessary safety reports & statistics with recommendations
• Handle regular safety audits and safety reviews
• Attend site meeting on safety issues
• Monitor the implementation, effectiveness and efficiency of the established site safety management system
• Discharge full statutory duties of a Safety Officer in accordance with FIU(SO&SS)R and contract specifications

Requirements:

• Registered Safety Officer (RSO) under FIU(SO&SS)R; AND
• Registered Safety Auditor (RSA) under FIU(SM)R; AND
• Minimum 9 years’ experience in leading a safety team, specifically for term maintenance contracts.
