Night Shift Trader (SFC Licensed Corp)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Executive and follow up on securities transactions during night-shift hours, primarily covering US equities, ETFs and other related investment products, with support for other global markets as required
  • Accurately and promptly input, execute and monitor trade orders based on instructions from portfolio managers or authorized personnel
  • Monitor order status, positions, cash level, trading limits and relevant risk indicators in real time
  • Identify and follow up on rejected orders, trading errors, system issues, trade discrepancies and other potential risks, and escalate them to the relevant teams where appropriate
  • Handle trade confirmations, trading records, reconciliations and other post-trade matters
  • Work closely with investment, brokerage, operations, settlement, risk and compliance teams to ensure smooth trading operations
  • Monitor US and global market developments, corporate actions and other material events that affect the portfolios

 

Job Requirements:

  • Tertiary education or relevant professional qualifications, studies in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline preferred
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in securities trading, trade execution, asset management or a related field; experience in US equities or global markets is preferred
  • Holder of, or eligible to be registered as , an SFC Licensed Representative for Type 1 and Type 9 regulated activities, with relevant licensing or accreditation experience
  • Familiar with securities markets, order types, trade execution processes, corporate actions and relevant settlement arrangements
  • Proficiency in trading systems, broker platforms, Bloomberg and Microsoft Excel is preferred
  • Able to work night shift, with actual working hours arranged according to US market hours, daylight-saving time and operational requirements
  • Detail-oriented and responsible, with strong risk awareness and the ability to remain focused under volatile market conditions and time pressure
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin
