Senior AI & Data Governance Manager - Data Science & Governance

Responsibilities

• Assist Team Head and Senior Manager to establish the governance standards for the bank’s data and AI management and controls, aimed at strengthening the bank’s competitiveness and improve customer experience through the use of data assets, including:
• Control measures in respect to data privacy, data sharing and transfer, data protection, data management and data quality
• Data and AI Governance Framework
• Assist AI & Data Governance section to stay abreast of data and AI governance best practices, local regulation and compliance
• Support in defining data and AI strategy to establish and ensure adherence to bank’s data and AI governance framework for data and AI policies, standards, governance metrics, processes and data control measures
• Collaborate with all departments and assist on Data and AI Governance through policy and/ or guideline development, coordinating governance meetings, preparing governance materials to various governance committees/ forums in the Bank.
• Act as a mentor in coaching and developing team members
• Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and requirements to create a best-in-class data and analytic capability that enable identification of new products and market opportunities to drive innovation 
• Assist in developing an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap to effectively handle data company-wide, aimed at achieving improved internal processes leading to effective cost efficiency and management
• Collaborate with concerned external parties, advocate collaborations with various internal functions and departments to ensure that data related business requirements are clearly defined
• Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity
• Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work

Requirements

• University graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ working experience in Data & AI Governance/ Data Privacy/ Data Protection/ Risk Management of which 2 years in managerial level from recognized establishments in financial services and/ or Fintech related industries 
• Experienced in establishing and monitoring data and AI governance framework
• Knowledge of industry leading data privacy and data protection management practices
• Understanding of data warehouses, lakes and master data management
• In-depth knowledge on business and operation models of banking, with thorough understanding on the local regulatory environment
• Knowledge in AI/ Generative AI governance and/ or AI risk management is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as AI & Data Governance Manager
