Position Summary
The role will be responsible for recovery & work-out of problem loans according to the laid-down policies and accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Debt Recovery – Handle debt recovery work for specified Risk Owners in Head Office, monitor progress of such recovery actions, and promptly report on any adversity. Follow up non-performing loan account, negotiate restructuring plan with borrower, and conduct appropriate recovery action(s) to maximize recovery.
- Loan Classification – Analyze the information reported by Risk Owners and review the proper assignment of loan classification according to the relevant credit / regulatory policies
- Risk Reporting – prepare the documentations and MIS reports for Credit Committee
- Perform the risk control tasks and comply with the requirements set by the Risk Controllers of the relevant risk types
- Participate in the ERM promotion and be familiar with the ERM framework and regulatory requirements
- Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity
- Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work
Requirements
- University graduate in a relevant discipline e.g. Risk Manager, and/or relevant professional qualification
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Banking and Finance covering the following:
- At least 2 years’ experience in similar position
- Hands-on experience in Special Asset Management / Loan workouts / MIS analysis and database management
- Associate Credit Risk Management Professional (under ECF-CRM) preferred but not mandatorily required
- Good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese speaking preferred)
