Private Banking Portfolio Counsellor

Job Description

E.Sun Private Banking is seeking a high-calibre Portfolio Counsellor (PC) to provide holistic investment advisory and portfolio management services to HNW/UHNW clients.

Working closely with Relationship Managers (RMs), the PC will design and implement investment strategies aligned with clients’ objectives, risk appetite, and market conditions, while ensuring full compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Job Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Portfolio Management

Deliver tailored investment advice and manage multi-asset portfolios

Develop strategic and tactical asset allocation to optimize risk-return

Investment Strategy & Execution

Formulate strategies based on macro views and house guidelines investment strategies aligned with macroeconomic views and house investment guidelines.

Monitor performance and recommend portfolio rebalancing

Partner with Trading Executives (TE) for efficient execution

Client Engagement

Conduct regular portfolio reviews and present market insights

Build trusted, long-term client relationships

Risk Management & Compliance

Ensure all recommendations meet regulatory and internal requirements

Maintain proper documentation and suitability assessments

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with RM, trading, and product teams to deliver integrated solutions

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related discipline

Professional certifications such as CFA, CFP, or equivalent are strongly preferred

Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience in portfolio advisory / wealth management, with proven HNW/UHNW clients experience

Strong knowledge of multi-asset investing and global markets

Licensed under SFC Type 4 is required ; Licensed under SFC Type 1 is preferred (or willingness to obtain)
