Manager to Senior Manager (Business Finance) - Corporate Business Management Department

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles for Corporate Banking, ensuring alignment with business strategy and financial targets;
• Perform detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers, risks, and opportunities;
• Drive RWA efficiency, RORWA, and ECL strategies; monitor and advise on the impact of interest rate changes on portfolio profitability;
• Deliver strategic financial analysis to support business decisions, including profitability, cost management, and growth initiatives;
• Prepare clear, concise, and insightful management reports explaining financial performance, trends, and outlook in executive-level business reviews and ALCO;
• Develop and enhance financial models and dashboards to automate reporting and improve accuracy and efficiency;

Requirements

• Bachelor degree holder or above in BBA, Finance or other related disciplines;
• Qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent) is highly preferred;
• HKIB banking professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) preferred;
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably within Corporate Banking;
• Strong report-writing and communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders;
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., financial modeling, complex formulas, data analysis); experience with BI tools is an advantage;
• Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights and narratives;
• Familiarity with performance metrics, profitability analysis, and cost allocation methodologies;
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing;
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua).
