Section Head, Card Products & Strategic Planning – Retail Lending

Responsibilities

• Design Credit Card Product propositions that will strategically help the bank to grow market share
• Liaise with various internal and external partners in offering the appropriate features of both Credit Card products, usage including rewards in terms of bonus points, cash rebates or mileage points to cardholders through the core value proposition of the credit card products
• Plan and execute tactical usage promotion programs that drive up the bank’s market share
• Partner with the Department business owners to re-engineering the Process optimization
• Constant review of the revenues and costs components to the Department’s lending businesses and mobilize the change of strategies to maximize their profitability
• Lead and motivate subordinates to think out of the box and implement changes to achieve the business targets 
• Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity

Requirements

• University graduate, preferably in business, finance or related discipline
• Minimum 15 years practical card experience grounded in product management, marketing, consumer research, business analysis, financial analysis, regulatory requirements and partnership management
• Business oriented with proven understanding of product dynamic, industry regulations and market trend
• Relevant HKIB qualification would be an advantage
• Strong analytical, project management and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and able to communicate effectively with internal or external parties
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, Putonghua proficiency is an advantage
