Hang Seng's Finance works closely with the Bank's stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators and external examiners.  We function as their accountants and business partners in providing comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting and compliance, capital planning and reporting, financial control & SOX control, tax advisory, insurance finance, and treasury and investment finance.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Stress Testing Manager.

Principal responsibilities

This position is to support the Integrity of Regulatory Reporting (IRR) programme, partnering with the Regional team to establish and embed a consistent set of governance and end-to-end control processes for enterprise-wide capital and climate stress testing. Key responsibilities include:

• Develop control enhancement delivered through BAU and the IRR programme to meet Regulatory Reporting Risk Policy requirements
• Produce and maintain traceability documentation, process maps, control framework and ensure these are consistently operated and kept up to date across HKMA reporting
• Build a sustainable control environment and embed robust controls into BAU, aligning to the Global design where applicable
• Participate various enterprise-wide stress tests to support the process and governance in accordance to the control framework
• Engage relevant stakeholders across Business, Risk and Finance team on the development and execution of various stress test processes and controls
• Report stress testing and IRR programme associated information to support CFO and senior management in making decision
• Support assessment on compliance of requirements from regulators and respond to associated queries from various stakeholders
• Identify and drive forward enhancement to stress testing capability

Requirements

• This role requires an individual who can demonstrate competence and attribute in the following areas:
• Analytical and forecasting experience in financial services industry, preferably large banks, with good understanding of financial statements and capital adequacy
• Strong Stakeholder management across Finance (HBAP, HASE and Group), Risk, Treasury and programme teams
• Documentation skills (traceability, process maps, control narratives, RACI)
• Pragmatic improvement mindset and influencing skills
• Experience in stress testing, regulatory reporting and designing governance controls would be an advantage
