Captain (5 days work)

The Captain supports the F&B Service Manager – Town Club in daily restaurant set-up and operations.  Responsible for areas designated by Manager / Assistant Manager to ensure the highest possible levels of service are met and exceeded consistently.

Job Description

  • Responsible for providing the best possible service to Members and guests. E.g. greets Members, take orders, makes reservations (where applicable), follows the sequence of service

  • Assists the F&B Service Manager in the day-to-day operations

  • Maintain high levels of sanitation standards of the outlet

  • Direct and carry out the duties assigned, which include mise-en-place, opening and closing duties and any other duties assigned by the Manager / Assistant Manager

  • Uphold uniform and personal presentation standards

  • Ensure all billings and charges follow the correct billing procedures according to the instructions. Orders taken and entered accurately into POS

  • Maintain exceptional knowledge and understanding of the full food and beverage menu including dietary labelling and ingredient components

  • Communicate with kitchen team when required for dietary/ allergy requirements and requests

  • Handle minor Member concerns and escalates to the Manager / Assistant Manager where required

  • Perform duties such as polishing cutlery, and glassware, arranging and resetting tables and other assigned daily tasks

  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to the business plus our in-house food and beverage policies, standards, and procedures

Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or above

  • At least 3 years relevant experience and 1-2 years supervisory experience in the hospitality industry

  • Good organizational skills and able to multitask and prioritize effectively

  • Awareness of all food safety and hygiene standards

  • Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese
