About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Pastry Kitchen in Hong Kong, the Junior Chef de Partie is responsible for to assist the Sous Chef with the daily working requirements and the smooth running of the operation and displayed as mandated by the Executive Pastry Chef in order to acquire maximum customer satisfaction and profitability. Junior Chef de Partie reports to the Executive Pastry Chef, Assistant Executive Pastry Chef or Sous Chef.

As Junior Chef de Partie , you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Assist the daily operation in pastry kitchen, including production, preparation and presentation, ensure the quality and consistency of service delivery in alignment with the overall hotel initiatives and brand standards;
• Communicate directly with customers in liaison with the Cake Shop to ensure all the special orders are properly done and follow up;
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in and around all culinary work areas.

AsJunior Chef de Partie , we expect from you:

• 3 - 5 years relevant experience in pastry kitchen, preferably from high-end bakery and patisserie
• Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills;
• Multi-Tasking, self-motivated, attention to details, well-organized and responsible;
• Independent and able to work under pressure;
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Commis I.
