About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Mandarin Grill / Terence Boulud Kitchen in Hong Kong, the Junior Chef de Partie is responsible for to assist the Sous Chef with the daily working requirements and the smooth running of the operation and displayed as mandated by the Sous Chef in order to acquire maximum customer satisfaction and profitability. Junior Chef de Partie reports to the Chef de Cusine orSous Chef.

As Junior Chef de Partie , you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Assist the daily operations in the kitchen;
• Ensure food presentation and cleanliness are up to guest satisfaction and hotel standard in accordance with HACCP;
• Provide on-the-job-training to subordinates;
• Liaise with restaurant managers on a daily basis;
• Handle in other ad hoc projects as assigned.

As Junior Chef de Partie , we expect from you:

• 3 years' working experience in Upscale Dining restaurant at similar capacity, Michelin-starred restaurant experience preferred;
• Holder of Food Hygiene Supervisor Certificate will be a plus;
• Strong managerial abilities in people management, strategic planning and decision making;
• International exposure will be an advantage;
• Able to communication in English;
• Willing to learn and able to work under pressure;
