Retail Distribution

Hang Seng's Retail Distribution focuses on personal wealth management and financial services. Our one-stop wealth management initiatives are designed for both our affluent and mass integrated account customers. With around 250 branches and automated banking centres, including around 50 Prestige Banking Centres for our high-end personal customers, we serve over half of the adult population in Hong Kong while offering an extensive range of products to our valued customers. 

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our branch network as Assistant Manager AMO, reporting to Area Manager.

Principal responsibilities

  • Assist Area Manager in managing the branches of the Area to achieve the assigned KPIs, implementing business and customer service strategies to deliver business objectives within the Area, maintaining and predicting quarterly/AOP budget by forecasting and proper control of expenditure
  • Assist in ensuring the efficient and courteous service at branches by providing supervision, guidance, training and motivation to front line staff, developing and coordinating activities to foster sales and service culture in branches of the Area
  • Work with Operations Manager to maintain effective branch operations by adhering to operation standard/audit requirement, implementing new working procedure, arranging regular/ad hoc meetings and irregular visit to branches to improve communications and enhance teamwork
  • Assist in resolving problems and difficulties referred by branches in daily operations

Requirements

  • Associate degree / Higher diploma holder, with at least five subjects at Grade E / Level 2 / "Attained" or above in the HKCEE / HKDSE, including Chinese, English and Mathematics, less academically qualified candidates with relevant work experience will also be considered
  • At least three years relevant experience, preferably in the banking industry
  • Passes in the Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examinations / Hong Kong Securities Institute Licensing Examinations
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Good knowledge of computer application software such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
