(Senior) Settlement Officer (Internet Brokerage - Singapore)

Job Responsibilities:

• Trade Settlement: Execute and reconcile trade settlements for equities, fixed income, and other financial instruments in a timely and accurate manner
• Clearing and Confirmation: Manage clearing and confirmation processes with relevant counterparties and clearing houses
• Client Support: Provide excellent client support by resolving settlement-related inquiries and discrepancies promptly
• Reconciliation: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of trade settlements and cash movement
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to settlement operations
• Risk Management: Monitor and manage settlement-related risks and issues effectively
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to settlements and transactions
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in settlement operations
• Reporting: Generate and distribute settlement reports to internal teams and clients as required

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
• Proven experience in Singapore settlement operations within a brokerage or financial institution
• Strong understanding of financial instruments and trade settlement processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in relevant settlement and trading systems/software
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance related to settlement operations
