Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain quantitative risk control frameworks for risk identification, measurement, management, and reporting
- Act as the first line of defense, monitoring daily activities of PB frontline staff (RM, ARM, IC) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Review investment transactions, identify irregularities, and provide professional guidance on investment suitability prior to execution
- Conduct regular training for frontline staff on securities dealing, risk governance, and suitability practices
- Continuously review and update internal policies and procedures to align with the latest regulations, industry best practices and emerging technologies
- Collaborate closely with the second line of defense and cross-functional stakeholders on policy implementation and risk management initiatives
- Manage large volumes of raw data to prepare monthly MIS reports, scorecards, and business dashboards
- Lead and support various ad hoc tasks and projects assigned by the Team Head
Ideal candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic qualification
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in business control, risk control, or investment suitability monitoring within Private Banking / Private Wealth Management
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements governing investment suitability frameworks
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with frontline and second-line stakeholders
- Adaptive, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
- Advanced Excel expertise, including but not limited to:
- Managing and processing large datasets
- Building Macros for workflow automation
- Preparing monthly MIS reports, dashboards, and scorecards
- Performing data validation, cleansing, analysis, and structured reporting
