Commercial Banking - Corporate Banking 

Hang Seng’s Commercial Banking (CMB) business provides customized one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from prime small and medium-sized businesses to publicly listed companies. 

For customers conducting business locally or around the world, we offer a comprehensive range of services including corporate lending, trade and receivables finance, structured loan, cash management, investment, treasury services, insurance and e-Banking services.  As a reliable financial partner, we attend to the specific business needs of our customers and provide efficient tailor-made banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Analyst, Corporate Banking - Mainland Corporates, reporting to Division Head, Corp Banking - Mainland Corporates.

Principal responsibilities

  • Provide support to senior Relationship Managers in managing a quality of commercial banking portfolio to achieve business targets.
  • Manage internal processes and support the preparation of credit proposals and monitoring of account performance with good understanding of client businesses, financing arrangements and market conditions
  • Participate in conducting credit reviews / inspections of customers’ operational facilities and ensure identification of potential credit issues. Take preemptive measures to avoid bad and non-performing loans
  • Identify sales opportunities and liaise with product partners to deliver appropriate product and service solutions to increase revenue from customers and maximize profitability of each relationship

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Management, Banking, Finance or a related discipline or other relevant qualifications
  • Knowledge in the fields of cash management, trade finance, FX and other market products, asset management or structured finance
  • Proven experience in credit analysis, credit risk management, sales and marketing, and customer relationship management
  • Pass in HKSI and IA licensing examinations preferred
  • Strong sales and customer service orientation, with self-motivation and ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is a must
  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage
