The Fitness & Recreation Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Club’s recreation facilities and programs, ensuring a high standard of service and member experience. The role manages facility bookings, assists with program and party coordination, and works closely with various recreation sections and service contractors to deliver quality activities and events.
Job Duties
- Handle daily operations at The Edge, including phone inquiries, email communications, and member complaints, ensuring prompt and professional service
- Manage facility bookings for The Bunker, Squash Courts, Tennis Courts, Indoor Multi-purpose Courts, and Activity Rooms, ensuring accurate scheduling and smooth coordination
- Oversee program and facility booking charges; prepare related reports and ensure proper documentation and billing accuracy
- Assist the Assistant Recreation Manager (Programs) with coordinating family, adult, youth, and children’s programs, classes, parties and events offered by the Club
- Provide administrative support for recreation programs and events, including registration, communication, confirmations, and follow-up reporting
- Work closely with other Recreation sections, internal departments, and service contractors on planning, scheduling, and delivering programs, classes, and events
- Assist the Assistant Recreation Manager (Programs) in supervising service contractors related to recreation programs and classes to ensure quality delivery and adherence to Club standards
- Assist the Assistant Recreation Manager (Programs) in reviewing existing programs and developing new recreation activities that meet the interests and needs of the membership
- Coordinate with Fitness & Recreation Coordinators on class and program setup/ teardown, facility and equipment maintenance, inventory management, and retail sales support
- Provide operational coverage and support to other Recreation areas when required, ensuring seamless departmental operations
Qualification & Skills
- Tertiary education or equivalent professional training
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in fitness, leisure, or recreation operations
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Cantonese
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with members, colleagues, and management
- Mature, responsible, and able to work independently with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented, flexible, and capable of handling multiple tasks effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable using activity management or booking systems
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
