AVP, System Management - Consumer Credit Risk

Purpose of the role:
This position is responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of systems, with a primary focus on migrating the loan origination system and credit decision engine.


What You Will Be Doing:

  • Design, develop, and automate credit decisioning rules, scorecards, and limit assignment frameworks within the Consumer Credit Decision System to enable straight-through process of credit approval through programmed scripting.

  • Manage and maintain credit policy rules and parameters in front-end application systems, providing scenario planning and support for new system implementations and deployments.

  • Collaborate closely with the regional portfolio analytics team and in-country stakeholders such as Credit Risk and Business department to enhance credit process, support risk and business initiatives/projects, and identify opportunities to strengthen risk controls.

  • Participate in Credit Risk management system enhancements and IT projects across the region, ensuring timely and effective delivery.

  • Support the Team Head in conducting portfolio analytics and reviews for consumer secured and unsecured lending products, managing credit risk through rule design and monitoring of key portfolio risk indicators.

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns that inform risk management decisions

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices, applying this knowledge to continuously improve risk management frameworks and processes.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, Mathematics or Statistics.

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the financial industry, with a strong background in consumer lending and proven project management experience in credit risk management and IT systems.

  • Preferably with experience in supporting deployment of application models and systems in collaboration with IT teams.

  • Familiarity with credit decisioning applications and microservices is highly preferred.

  • Strong technical skills, including programming skills in SQL and Python. Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

  • A collaborative mindset, working effectively with diverse stakeholders across the organization.

  • A solid understanding of risk management principles and practices within consumer lending.

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
