JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Chief Steward in leading the stewarding team to maintain a clean, safe, and organized back-of-house environment
- Support daily operations of the stewarding department, including cleaning schedules, equipment maintenance, and inventory control
- Supervise the cleaning, sanitizing, and storage of all kitchen utensils, equipment, and serviceware
- Assist in monitoring pest control activities with external contractors and report any issues promptly
- Help ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and standards
- Support the training and development of Kitchen Cleaners and Stewards to follow operational procedures and standards
- Step in to supervise overnight deep cleaning or special projects as required
- Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely availability of clean equipment and utensils
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by superior or Hotel Management
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in stewarding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role
- Basic knowledge of chemical handling, sanitation guidelines, and hygiene management
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good command of spoken and written English & Chinese
- Ability to support, motivate, and guide team members
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail
