Contract Bank Officer, Payment Operation (12-month contract)

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining day-to-day SWIFT operations under Payment Operation to support payment investigation and SWIFT message processing effectively and efficiently.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support Investigation team in investigating and resolving irregular payment instructions processing and follow ups (included and not limited to: irregular payment, compliance follow ups, transaction clarification with counterparties, etc). 

2. Collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholders on irregular payment instruction handling, through the appropriate channels (included and not limited SWIFT msg).

3. Investigation and corrective action on unreconciled fund movements identified.

4. Maintain thorough records and audit trial of investigation cases in compliance to the bank and regulatory control policies and requirements.   

5. Support SWIFT message operations, included and not limited to: message distribution, monitor and release critical payment instruction from destinated insitiutions for priority processing (e,g. HKICL, HKEX, HSSS).

6. Daily reconciliation and reports preparation on processed messages

7. Support various regular SWIFT service initiatives (e.g. annual SWIFT release upgrade, internal/external/market drill exercises)

REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge in SWIFT/RTGS/SAA Systems

• 3 years’ banking experience in Payment Processing and investigation related field

• Bachelor degree or above
