Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Principal Responsibilities
- Perform a maker role to process regulatory bodies, legal enforcement agencies, government departments' requests and handle various court orders from solicitor firms, deceased, bankruptcy/ winding up handling, i.e. provide information and document retrieval; place hold code to deceased/ bankrupt/ winding up customer accounts and Caution List update according to the operation procedures as documented in the Operation Manual/ operation handbook/ SOP and other operational duties as assigned by supervisor;
- Handle internal/ external customer compliant tactfully and ensure responsive problem solving for enquiries from branches and other units/ parties within benchmark;
- Participate in system enhancement and process improvement, digitization and transformation;
- Ensure all risk and compliance standards are maintained;
- Ensure daily operations are in line with operational procedures and group policies;
- Assist supervisor to prepare operation and MIS reports;
- Assist team leader to review and update the operation manuals, operation handbook and SOP;
Perform GL and system record checking/ reconcilement on timely basis and escalate material difference to supervisor;
Accept duties assigned by the supervisor;
Escalate material issue or incident to supervisor;
Requirements
- Post secondary or above, preferably degree holder in any disciplines
- Minimum 2 years experience in consumer banking operations;
- Practical experience in banking operations to handle external enquiry from law enforcement agencies, various court order, bankruptcy/ winding up procedures, deceased cases and consumer banking operations is highly preferred
- Knowledge of banking practices and procedures
- Good sense of risk awareness
- Good communication skills and speak fluent Cantonese and English
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Candidate with less experience will also be considered
