Major Job Duties
- Plan, lead, manage and perform audit assignments with objectives to assess the overall conditions of Overseas (the US and UK) and the mainland China branches with respect to the adequacy and effectiveness of overall risk management, operational controls, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and asset quality.
- Prepare audit report and independent assessment, including findings, analysis and recommendations.
- Follow up on and monitor the execution of audit recommendations to improve internal controls, operational efficiency, and risk management.
- Ensure the audit assignments are completed on schedule and in excellent quality.
- Perform ad hoc tasks or reviews as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree holder in Business, Accounting, Banking and Finance or related disciplines
- Holders of relevant professional qualifications in accountancy, internal audit and risk related, e.g. CPA, CIA, CAMS, AAMLP will be advantageous.
- At least 5 years of internal and/or external audit experience in banking or financial services industry
- Knowledge in the US/ UK/ mainland China banking laws and regulations.
- Experience in auditing Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) programs, model risk exposure is a plus
- Independent with strong analytical mind and risk controls sense
- Strong interpersonal, project management and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
