Product Management Manager (Card Risk Management & Monitoring) [Ref no: PMM-ALAI]

Job Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end product design for bank card (debit card) risk monitoring system, including but not limited to create product requirement documents, collaborate with technology teams to drive development, testing and implementation. Assist in establishing effective risk incident monitoring procedures;
• Design and continuously optimize real-time risk control rules and model, balancing fraud prevention with customer experience;
• Analyze daily transaction data and risk incidents. Identify potential vulnerabilities and emerging fraud patterns, and promptly adjust monitoring strategies;
• Work closely with Compliance, Legal Operations and Customer Service Teams to ensure risk controls that meet HKMA and other regulatory requirements;
• Keep abreast of payment risk technology trends and explore innovative applications;
• Research risk control practices of competitors to evaluate/ implement suitable solutions for the Bank.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Risk Management, Computer Science, Finance, Data Analytics or related disciplines;
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in bank card issue and card risk management;
• Prior risk management experience in card issuing business at Hong Kong Bank is highly preferred;
• Experience in building card risk systems from the group up is a strong advantage;
• Solid understanding of bank card monitoring flow, risk control requirement of card association and Hong Kong regulatory frameworks (e.g. AML, anti-fraud guidelines);
• Proficient with fundamental knowledge of risk modelling;
• Strong cross-team communication and project management skills, with ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly;
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua.
