Job Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the Daily Operations of the Reservations Department, and support the Reservations team in achieving departmental objectives (Employee Engagement, Reputation Performance Score, Reservations Accuracy, RevPar, etc.)
• Lead the Reservations colleagues by ensuring proper hiring, training, and scheduling
• Supervise colleagues within the department to ensure that standards and policies of service are maintained
• Provide on-going feedback to Reservations colleagues while providing opportunities for learning and development
• Ensure that all departmental reports and correspondence are completed on time and accurately
• Work closely with other departments and partners to ensure smooth running of the operation
• Work with Assistant Revenue Manager to monitor inventory and troubleshoot problem dates
• Manage third party sites and agents to establish rates, negotiate prices, ensure proper implementation of reservations procedures, and maximise conversion ratios to achieve targets
• Provide daily operational support to the Reservations team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
• Carry out any other tasks as assigned

 Requirements

• 4 years’ experience in hotel reservations including supervisory experience is required
• Knowledge of Shiji ngPMS and Microsoft Office is an asset
• Self-motivated and able to make decisions in an unsupervised setting
• Able to work well under pressure and take initiative
• Must be well organized and have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong team player with excellent leadership skills
• Ability to consistently stand and walk through out shift
