Summer Trainee (Gatehouse / Yard Planning / Ship Planning )

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

Position 1) Summer Trainee - Gatehouse

• Understand the overall terminal operations & planning functions
• Work on project about the study of automation of gatehouse process
• Assist in the administration and daily support tasks assigned by supervisor
• Present to management on the assigned project topic at the end of the internship program

Position 2) Summer Trainee - Yard Planning

• Understand the overall terminal operations & planning functions
• Work on project about the role of yard planning in container terminal industry
• Assist in the administration and daily support tasks assigned by supervisor
•  Present to management on the assigned project topic at the end of the internship program

The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

• Full-time undergraduate student in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related discipline
• Interested in container terminals & logistics industry
• Responsible, detail-minded, and well-organized
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
   

Position 3) Summer Trainee - Ship Planning

The Role

The job holder’s major responsibilities are to:

• Understand the overall terminal operations & planning functions
• Work on project about digitalization in vessel planning
• Assist in the administration and daily support tasks assigned by supervisor
• Present to management on the assigned project topic at the end of the internship program

The Person

The ideal candidate should have / be:

• Full-time undergraduate student in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Maritime Studies or related discipline
• Interested in container terminals & logistics industry
• Responsible, detail-minded, and well-organized
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
