Position Summary
Responsible for assisting Department Head to formulate business strategies and initiatives to grow the Cross-border business for the Division. As the Cross-border business owner to drive customer acquisition, portfolio growth and management, while ensuring all initiatives are in compliance with the Bank’s internal process and procedures, as well as the latest guidelines from regulators in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.
Responsibilities
- Assist Department Head to meet the business plan on cross-border customer acquisitions, as well as portfolio and revenue growth;
- Lead design of a customer centric cross-border journey;
- Responsible and ensure appropriate system and platform support to enable effective implementation of banking services to suit the needs of cross-border customers;
- Keep abreast of the latest market/industry development to upkeep the Bank’s market competitiveness in terms of product, channel delivery and customer experience;
- Explore and maintain an effective and ongoing referral mechanics with strategic partners;
- Formulate multi-channel acquisition initiatives and work closely with frontlines and other stakeholders on seamless execution, to perform ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the acquisition initiatives, take proactive measure to adjust programme logistics from time to time, with the objective to reach the planned business goals ;
- Identify the right contact management and relationship deepening enablers to meet cross-border customers’ specific needs and to facilitate a health growth of the cross-border customer portfolio for the Division;
- Build a close and constructive partnership with BEA China on all cross-border acquisition and portfolio building initiatives;
- Develop effective recognition mechanics with tracking in place for quality customer acquisition from strategic partners;
- Perform timely business analytics for management oversight and able to identify trends and triggers for ongoing refinement of strategies and initiatives ;
- Collaborate with different business owners on products, services as well as delivery channels enhancement and modification;
- Supervise, monitor, provide guidance and develop subordinates to meet the planned business goals while promoting a strong business ownership and teamwork culture;
- Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and
- Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work.
Requirements
- University graduate in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or related discipline preferred;
- Minimum 15 years’ of experience in the banking sector or financial industry, preferably in wealth management products development or management, segment management, business management, product marketing, or distribution and sales support management position;
- At least 8 years of managerial position and team management experience;
- Solid experience in cross-border business, which includes product /segment management, project management, marketing and distribution in banking or financial services industry, with a strong track record of business results;
- Familiar with the cross-border policies and with past experience in retails wealth management products management, which includes product development and/or delivery, project management, and with a strong track record on business performance;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills; strong command of written and verbal English and Chinese, fluent speaking in Putonghua is a must;
- Independent, self-motivated and excellent problem solving skills;
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; and
- Relevant HKIB qualification is an advantage.
