The role is within Business Analyst and Testing team under Project Management and Services Department.
The role is responsible for driving large-scale transformation and FinTech projects. The initial focus will be core banking implementation
Business Analysis Responsibilities:
Engage with business and support functions to gather, validate, and document business requirements. Ensure requirements are sufficiently detailed, complete, and testable
Design solutions in partnership with technology teams, businesses and support functions, channel teams (including UIUX)
Utilize strong communication skills to lead discussions between IT and business teams. Ensure that consensus is achieved on project objectives and requirements
Create and review functional and non-functional designs
Create operating models and flow diagrams as needed
Support development of test plans and test cases and subsequent testing activities
Create user manuals, training materials, and conduct user trainings as needed
Drive agile transformation
The position will also need to take on project manager role as needed
Requirements
University graduate in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a business analyst, product owner, product manager, system integrator, or IT project manager, preferably in the banking industry or banking related consultancy
Good knowledge of banking operations on core products and services in commercial / corporate banking, retail banking, and/or wealth management, and various channels
Highly desired to have direct hands-on experience in core banking implementation project. Preferably have experience in banking in Macau and Singapore
Experience in working with offshore teams in Mainland China, Macau and other international locations
Good understanding of and hands-on experience in both waterfall and agile methodology
Strong analytical, consultative, presentation, and report writing skills
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language to key stakeholders
Proven experience in managing competing priorities
Exhibit a high level of commitment to project delivery, ensuring that timelines and quality standards are met consistently
A good team player with strong interpersonal skills and willing to work with tight schedule
Relevant HKIB qualification is an advantage
Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Understanding Cantonese is a must
