AVP, Business Continuity Management (Operational Risk Management Department)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, implementing and operating of operational resilience and business continuity management areas
  • Serve as subject matters expert for the operational resilience and business continuity management with a clear understanding of relevant regulatory and internal requirements
  • Perform as a second line of defense, provide operational resilience and business continuity management expertise, effective governance and oversight by working closely with businesses and providing the necessary challenge
  • Review and update the policies related to operational resilience and business continuity management
  • Ensure adequate business continuity planning and testing is completed, coordinate the Annual Bank wide BCP Drill and various BCP test plans, conduct post test evaluation to identify improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate respective parties to implement the operational resilience and business continuity management activities, e.g. evaluation of Business Impact Analysis (BIA), review of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and related documents. Provide advice and guidance to the departments on their documents
  • Prepare the training materials and promote operational resilience and business continuity management awareness in the meetings
  • Review and provide comments on new product proposal and product change related documents; outsourcing proposals and annual review; departments' RCSA assessments, from business continuity management perspective
  • Prepare the formal Annual Statement according to the regulatory requirement

 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or above, with a business continuity professional certification would be an advantage e.g. certification from DRI or BCI
  • Qualification in ECF is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ of practical experience in business continuity management, operational risk, or related work experience
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements related to business continuity management, operational risk, and operational resilience
  • Knowledge in business continuity planning or operational risk management and good understanding of banking operations and processes
  • Good understanding of information system, technology infrastructure, and disaster recovery
  • Self motivated with strong analytical and problem solving skills and results oriented
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is an advantage
