In this role, you are a key member of Financial Reporting Team with primary focus on month end closing, financial reporting, finance system implementation and liaise with all relevant parties to ensure all deliverables.
What the role is?
- Participate in month-end closing activities including the preparation of closing journals and balance sheet reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Support Group financial reporting and regulatory submission, including but not limited to requirements from the Insurance Authority (IA) and other relevant bodies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
- Support finance system changes within the department by coordinating the development of user requirements and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT). Identify potential issues, report them in a timely manner, and resolve defects efficiently.
- Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to identify and implement enhancements to finance systems.
- Handle ad hoc requests from supervisors.
What we look for?
- 5+ years of experience in Big 4 audit or insurance accounting and finance.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or Accounting; HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, with a solid understanding of end-to-end process workflows.
- Detail-oriented, independent, responsible, and proactive in seeking solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to create high-quality written products that are comprehensive, accurate, and tailored to the audience.
