AVP, Investigation & Fraud Control (Operational Risk Management Department)

Responsibilities:

• Review outsourcing proposal, assist business functional departments on outsourcing activities projects and perform annual review on existing outsourcing activities
• Review new product proposal and product change related documents, assist business and functional departments on mitigating operational risk/ fraud risk in the new product/ product change exercise from operational risk prospective
• Execute ORM tools including Operational Risk Event ("ORE"), Key Risk Indicator ("KRI"), Risk and Control Self-Assessment ("RCSA") according to the ORM framework
• Conduct thematic review of departments and branches (local and overseas) to identify the potential operational risk and provide recommendation to enhance the control weakness
• Investigate any suspicion of fraud, identified directly or reported by another department, act to provide recommendation to department concerned on proactive prevention and detection measures when necessary
• Monitor and ensure the stipulated internal control measures within the bank are effective

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Business/Finance or other financial related discipline
• Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience in Operational Risk/ Internal Control/ Fraud Risk or Audit area, preferably gained from banking or financial industry
• Qualification in ECF is preferred
• Holder of Certified Operational Risk Management Professional (CORP), Associate Operational Risk Management Professional (AORP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), PMP or FRM will be an advantage
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
• Team-work oriented with proactive manner
• Proficient in written English and Chinese and MS Office Applications
• Proficient in both English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is an advantage
