ED, Cash Product Manager

JOB SUMMARY

  • This role will be instrumental in ensuring that Cash Product Management is grounded in China Origination, a core Bank’s strategic priority through strategic product planning, identifying current and future needs of Chinese clients in HK, and delivering growth in China Origination business across SCB network with HK as the regional/global platform supporting clients offshore business activities outside China. This role requires individuals with in-depth understanding of Chinese clients in terms of culture, buying behaviours, and segment specific requirements.
  • As a senior product manager, holder of this role is accountable for development of product strategy, its execution and commercialization, aligned to clear, simple and robust product universe governance and product risk lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and grow China-HK corridor business to ensure market leading positions with robust commercialization and revenue growth.
  • Provide product oversight and support for HK Cash Product business relating to HK and China Origination flow (both ways) covering both Corporate and FI segments. Manage key strategic initiatives and provide guidance on commercialization and project management.
  • Represents Greater China North Asia product team in China origination initiatives with stakeholders from Group and other markets where needed.
  • Directly responsible for understanding market trend and client needs and develop the client value propositions that strengthen SCB's leadership position and market share in the region.
  • Conduct ongoing competitor analysis to capture the opportunities, mitigate the threats and deliver financial performance. Recommend and plan actions to build or reinforce our competitive edge.
  • Driving internal and external communication strategy through development of marketing materials, product briefing/ training for internal stakeholders, planning and delivering key client events.
  • Delivers new revenue streams with meaningful returns over the long term, through product enhancement and innovation, whilst uplifting current revenue streams through process efficiencies and digitization.
  • Leads product brand and capabilities training workshops with client facing teams to articulate the product positioning and client value proposition.
  • Ensures replication of deals / unique solutions across countries and across industries.
  • Builds product value propositions with digital partners (3rd party platforms, consortiums and alliances).
  • Collaborates with the Data and Digital team, managing platform relationships with a focus on shaping future product roadmaps and commercial opportunities.
  • Owns commercialization of digital solutions and capabilities in country and across key markets.
  • Works closely with Digital and Data team to design and deliver training materials on our platforms as well as other digital capabilities for clients.

Qualification

  • Bachelor degree preferably in a relevant discipline such as finance, commerce, business administration etc.
  • Knowledge in cash product
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Track record of driving revenue growth specifically in China origination
  • Fluent in verbal and written English and Chinese
