Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, maintenance, and operational management of AML related systems.
  • Support transaction monitoring and customer CDD assessment, analyze and report suspicious transactions to AML/CFT Compliance Officer, and prepare and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to Macau GIF. 
  • Conduct compliance checks to ensure the Bank's adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide timely updates and training to all staff of the Bank regarding amendments to AML/CFT regulations.
  • Facilitate inspections and audits from internal and external auditors or regulators related to AML/CFT, ensuring follow-up on remedial actions for identified findings.
  • Provide compliance advice and support to different business units regarding daily operations and the launch of new products.
  • Prepare and coordinate the completion and submission of periodic and ad hoc reports and AML questionnaires.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.


Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree holder or above in Law, Business or related discipline
  • 5+ years of legal and compliance experience within the banking industry in Macau
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable laws, regulations, rules, guidelines, and industry practices for banks, particularly in relation to AML/CFT laws and guidelines
  • Proven experience in compliance checking or auditing is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of financial products and services (e.g. banking, loans, securities, insurance, etc.) is preferred
  • Proficient knowledge and work experience with SAS AML system is a plus 
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset with flexibility and adaptability to change
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin
  • Station in Macau upon work visa valid
