Job Summary
Provide independent assessment of the adequacy of internal control systems in the following areas:
a) Finance, Risk, Compliance, and other Internal Control functions (e.g. Code of Banking Practice; capital adequacy, liquidity control, and regulatory / internal reporting)
b) Technology and Operations functions (e.g. Business continuity planning and Operational Risk Management)
c) Financial Crime Compliance, Fraud Risk, and Business functions (e.g. AML & CFT, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Fraud Risk)
Responsibilities
a) Plan and conduct internal audit on the bank’s internal control systems to address all relevant risks
b) Implement a risk-based audit approach in compliance with auditing standards
c) Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement, and making sound recommendations
d) Follow up on and monitor the execution of audit recommendations
e) Advise business stakeholders on enhancing operational efficiency and optimizing processes
f) Update audit standard / guideline / plan as necessary
g) Perform ad-hoc tasks or reviews as needed
