Assistant Custody Settlement and Operations Manager

Responsibilities:
Perform daily securities position reconciliation, ensuring client positions correctly reflect external records
Ensure system exceptions are identified and liaison with internal and external clients to ensure any discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
Daily reviewing of clearing house and central depository’s long and short balances. Arrange fund transfer between nostro accounts and settlement accounts when necessary
Setting up and maintenance of system static data, including securities, accounts, FX rates, fees, securities prices and other instruments
Responsible for day-to-day transaction settlement and corporate action operation on bonds, foreign equities, Hong Kong market stocks and fixed incomes
Handle business inquiries from clients
Participate in enhancement projects discussion and perform user acceptance tests on system enhancements. Working collaboratively with Fintech and system vendor to ensure enhancement projects are smoothly roll out
Ad-hoc project and assignment when required by your manager
Requirements:
Degree holder or above with major in Finance, Economics, Business or Banking related discipline or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5
Preferably minimum 2 years’ experience in global custody and banking operation
Good knowledge of securities market products and global custody operation including settlement and corporate action event cycles handling
Familiar with SWIFT, CMU, CCASS, Euroclear/Clearstream operation
Attention to detail, independent thinking and demonstrate problem solving skill
Willingness to learn and the ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WPS etc.), VBA Macro skill is an advantage
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in Cantonese and English, Mandarin is preferred
Candidate with less experience will be considered as Custody Settlement and Operations Officer
