Analyst / Consultant / Senior Consultant - Valuation & Modelling - Hong Kong

Work you'll do

• Analyze financial statements, accounting data and other fundamental information to extract meaningful business insights using appropriate methodologies.

• Execute valuation analyses for different purposes, including financial reporting, management planning and regulatory compliance requirement

• Build complex financial models independently to facilitate client’s internal planning, transaction assessments and risk management procedures.

• Prepare high quality presentations, reports and proposals for client engagements, business development opportunities and internal events.

• Build an understanding of how valuation adds value to client's decision-making process across compliance and the M&A lifecycle to continuously enhance project delivery.

We are looking for someone with

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Quantitative Finance, Actuarial Science, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with quantitative aptitude preferred.

• Professional qualifications such as FRM, CFA, MRICS or equivalent are preferred.

• 1-4 years of relevant professional experience in valuation and financial modelling.

• Foundational knowledge or hands-on experience in at least one of the following key areas:

  • Financial instrument valuation/ quantum loss disputes/ real estate investment and appraisal

  • Market risk/ quant methodologies/ risk control/ product control

  • Financial modelling or automation using VBA, Python, or MATLAB

• Sharp logical and critical thinking to solve problems and deliver solutions.

• Ability to support business development activities, including preparation of proposal, creating pitch documents, and building external relationships.

• Strong report writing and communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to present analysis logically to clients.

• Strong sense of ownership, high commitment to deliver high quality of work, and a curious, creative approach to tackling new challenges.
