Section Head of Credit Solutions - Wealth Management Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Credit Solution Management Team to maintain a high-quality wealth management loan portfolio and strong credit risk standards.
• Oversee credit proposal assessments, ensuring compliance with the Bank's credit policies, standards, and risk appetite.
• Drive the development, implementation, and maintenance of wealth management credit policies, procedures, and operational manuals.
• Act as the policy owner of the Bank's Loan-to-Value (LTV) framework and oversee its implementation across the Bank.
• Partner closely with Private Banking, Credit Risk Management, and other stakeholders to structure credit solutions and enhance credit processes.
• Monitor the credit portfolio and market developments, identifying emerging risks and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a strong risk-aware and customer-focused culture.
• Support strategic projects, business initiatives, and transformation programs across the Wealth Management Division.

Requirements

• University degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in credit management, with exposure to Private Banking or Wealth Management.
• Solid experience in credit review, portfolio monitoring, collateral management, and lending risk assessment.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing teams.
• Sound knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and wealth management lending products.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, strategic-minded, and able to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
• Professional qualifications such as HKIB or equivalent will be an advantage.
