Job Summary
This role partners with leaders in PRB to deliver performance and reward outcomes that incentivise and reward the delivery of the bank strategy and create a performance orientated and innovative culture that emphasises conduct and sustainability.
The incumbent will focus on the Hong Kong, Taiwan and GBA markets, with a view to providing strategic advisory, improving process efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ensuring our PRB offering best meets business requirements. Whilst the advisory work will be primarily focused on the WRB part of the business, this is an important role in supporting the CEO of Hong Kong & GCNA, as well as managing the regulatory aspects of Hong Kong and the GBA from a PRB perspective.
This role is a People Leader role and manages PRB Taiwan as well.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Advisory
• Trusted advisor on WRB compensation matters, with a particular focus on GCNA
• Close partnership with Talent Acquisition teams to structure competitive and compelling offers which are aligned with the bank’s overall strategy and risk appetite
• Integral member of global advisory team for managing year end TVC and salary outcomes for HK and TW population
• Involvement in global PRB projects with a focus on WRB GCNA
• Advisory to country CEO and HR teams around compensation aspects of regulatory and union matters pertaining to locations
Business
• Establish relationships with key business stakeholders, enabling the identification and understanding of business objectives and how these can be supported by PRB
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their engagement and sponsorship of the WRB compensation approach
• Monitor the performance and effectiveness of reward policies, programmes and processes in achieving business objectives
Processes
• Manage performance and pay review processes in line with the global principles, in partnership with business and HR stakeholders
• Identify, monitor and mitigate any operational risk arising and ensure proper controls are in place and maintained as per the Group’s operational risk framework
People & Talent
• Coach Performance & Reward Advisory Support colleagues in Chennai, motivating and developing them to achieve high standards of performance
Risk Management & Governance
• Manage audit and review activities in relation to WRB, HK, TW and GBA compensation
• Work with business and HR process owners to articulate and manage risks through designated risk forums and/or process or product governance committees
• Work with the Reward Governance team on the alignment of remuneration with regulatory guidance
• Contribute to governance bodies e.g. papers for country board meetings and relevant sub-committees

• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Skills and Experience
• Proven experience in compensation management and salary planning, preferrably gained from a multinational bank or financial institution
• Strong expertise in Data Gathering and Analysis to support sound business decisions and fulfill governance requirement
• Experience in leading the design and management of Incentive Programs and Performance Management
• Excellent communications and relationship management, act as trusted advisor to our stakeholders
