Sports & Leisure Manager

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the comprehensive management, safe operation, and continuous development of the Club’s sports and recreational facilities, programs, and services. You will ensure these areas operate efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of all members. This role leads the Sports & Leisure team and works closely with sporting sections, societies, coaches, service providers, and internal departments to drive active member engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of all sports and recreational facilities, ensuring high standards of service and operational efficiency.
• Prepare and manage the departmental budget, monitor expenditure and revenue, and identify opportunities to improve utilization, cost-efficiency, and income generation.
• Source, organize, and supervise comprehensive wellness, sports, and recreational programs.
• Develop and promote engaging sports and recreational activities and events.
• Collaborate closely with the Club's sporting sections and societies to support their initiatives, facilitating communication to enhance overall member engagement.
• Organize and coordinate Club league teams in collaboration with the Sports Convenor.
• Address member feedback, suggestions, and concerns related to sports and leisure activities.
• Attend regular meetings for various sporting sections, societies, and non-sporting committees.
• Liaise with service providers (including coaches) and finalize contractual agreements.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments as required.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Sports & Recreation Management or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years at a supervisory level, preferably gained within a sizeable membership organization.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform tasks independently.
• Certification in CPR/AED and First Aid is preferred.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, is required.
