About the role
We are looking for an experienced communications professional to support both corporate and marketing communications, with a primary focus on marketing PR. The role covers day-to-day business and product communications, thought leadership, crisis management, media and KOL relations, media events, and collaboration across the Bank and Group.
Key responsibilities
Develop corporate and marketing communications strategies aligned with the Bank's business priorities, brand positioning, and product plans.
Manage day-to-day communications for business updates, product launches, campaigns, corporate announcements, and media enquiries.
Identify relevant media angles and proactively develop stories that strengthen the Bank's brand awareness and market positioning.
Develop and review press releases, media pitches, Q&As, talking points, executive communications, and other PR materials.
Lead in-depth content projects, including corporate white papers, industry reports, and thought-leadership articles.
Monitor media sentiment and identify emerging reputational risks.
Develop crisis response plans, holding statements, media Q&As, and spokesperson briefing materials.
Coordinate with management, legal, compliance, risk, marketing, and business teams to ensure timely and consistent responses.
Build and maintain strong relationships with financial, business, technology, and consumer media.
Engage relevant KOLs, industry commentators, and content partners to amplify campaigns and key messages.
About you
At least 5 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing PR, financial PR, or integrated communications.
In-house experience in banking, financial services, or fintech is preferred; agency experience in financial communications is also welcome.
Strong understanding of Hong Kong media landscape and/or the mainland China, with established media relationships.
Excellent writing and editing skills, including experience producing press materials, white papers, and thought-leadership content.
Hands-on experience in crisis communications, media response, media event management and KOL engagement.
Strong stakeholder management, presentation, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Good understanding of the banking industry and relevant regulatory environment is preferred.
Bachelor's degree or above in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is strongly preferred.
