The Club Events Manager is responsible to run the Club’s Event Calendar and work with the Committee, and operational teams to deliver exceptional Club Event experiences. This includes the Club’s regular roster of events as well as adhoc and new concepts for the enjoyment and engagement of the membership, while running the budget and profit and loss of each event to ensure success.
Job Description
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Club events across the Country Club and Town Club, delivering superior member experiences
- Manage a detailed Profit & Loss Draft and check against actual for each event and adjust accordingly based on attendance trends and costs. Maximize revenues and control costs so they are to budget
- Manage vendor relationships and liaise with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Food & Beverage Department, Fitness & Recreation and Marketing, Member Services) to streamline event logistics and communication
- Drive event promotion and attendance to meet annual engagement and revenue targets
- Track post-event metrics and collect member feedback for continuous improvement, report to the Committee and adjust event concepts as required
- Attend the Social Committee, prepare minutes and action-item tracking. Develop new concepts and refine existing events for continued membership engagement
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Tourism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related discipline. Professional certification in Event Management is a plus
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on event planning, preferably within a private club, luxury hotel, or high-end venue environment
- Flexibility to work across both clubhouses. Ability to work with flexible hours including evenings and weekends where required
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Cantonese
- A strong appreciation of American culture and the holidays that Americans celebrate
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to communicate effectively with senior management, committee members, and members and the staff team
- Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management capabilities, ability to adjust based on logistic changes
- Proactive, creative, and highly self-motivated with strong problem-solving initiative
