Retail Distribution

Hang Seng's Retail Distribution focuses on personal wealth management and financial services. Our one-stop wealth management initiatives are designed for both our affluent and mass integrated account customers. With around 254 branches and automated banking centres, including around 50 Prestige Banking Centres for our high-end personal customers, we serve over half of the adult population in Hong Kong while offering an extensive range of products to our valued customers.

We are currently seeking a high-calibre professional to join our team as Associate Relationship Manager, to undergo a structured training in order to develop a wide-spectrum of retail banking product knowledge and pave way for further career development as Relationship Manager.

Principal responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service to Mainland and cross-border customers.
• Proactively identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking services and solutions, including general banking products and insurance products
• Participate in sales and promotional campaigns to acquire new business and strengthen customer loyalty
• Maintain a strong awareness of operational risks and comply with applicable policies and guidelines

Requirements

• University degree / Associate degree holders; or HKCEE / HKDSE holders with passes in Mathematics and Chinese/ English
• Minimum 1 year of experience in account opening and relevant direct sales experience in the banking industry. Candidates from other financial services institutions, such as insurance or independent financial advisory are also welcome.
• Candidates with at least 2 years’ working experience from other industries will also be considered.
• Possess appropriate professional and regulatory qualifications (IIQE Papers 1, 2 and 3 are mandatory; HKSI Papers 1, 7 and 8 are preferred) and fulfil the competency requirements to conduct regulated activities as defined by the Regulator.
• Strong customer service and sales mindset; self-motivated with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• High proficiency in Mandarin is a MUST. Proficiency in Cantonese and English is an advantage.
• High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers
• Ability to manage complex interactions effectively
• Demonstrated situational awareness, strong learning agility, and the ability to work effectively in an agile environment
• Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
