Team Head, Self-Assessment

Cathay United Bank Company, Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Taiwan’s largest financial group Cathay Financial Holdings.  The Bank’s Hong Kong Branch is currently looking for experienced audit professional to join our Self-Assessment Team.  This is an opportunity for a professional who would like to develop his/her career further with a bank which is currently growing in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

• Plan the annual compliance testing and self-assessment program of the HK Branch focusing on key business and regulatory risk areas
• Process regular self-assessment and testing on different functions, prepare assessment and testing reports for management review
• Make recommendation to the management to improve the control environments and at the same time to facilitate the business development of the Branch
• Manage and coach other members in the team on their tasks and professional development

Ideal candidates should possess:

• Degree holder in accounting and finance or related disciplines
• Professional qualification (CPA) is preferred
• Minimum 8 years solid auditing experience in bank audit, or quality assurance works
• Knowledge in Banking Ordinance, HKMA, SFC regulations and guidelines
• Work independently and able to deal with different departments
• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
